Manufacturing plays a key role in sustaining the economy in the East of England, therefore a key aim of this site is to highlight opportunities to not only develop, but also future-proof the sector. Recognising the complex nature of manufacturing, this area is dedicated to highlighting advice and support for each element of the manufacturing life cycle.

• Designing Demand / Design Council - A business support programme from the Design Council helping businesses to exploit design to become more innovative, competitive and profitable.
• IfM - Academic institution that integrates research and education with practical application to address the full spectrum of issues within manufacturing.
• MAS East - MAS East is a dedicated source of support to engineering, manufacturing and technology businesses within the region.
• Sustainable, Design-led Innovation (SDI) project - The SDI project is set to help small businesses in the East of England develop innovative low carbon products and services to reduce their carbon footprint across their life-cycle.
