Mentoring an pitching

On completion of the relevant 'Focus' workshop(s), you have the opportunity to apply for mentoring.

At this point you will be asked to submit a business plan. Then, if deemed suitable for mentoring, a mentor will be allocated to you and he/she will support you through the funding process. The mentors are matched to your requirements.

For example, if you are looking to raise equity finance, investment specialists with extensive experience in raising equity funding and well developed links into regional investment networks will support you. If you are aiming to secure grant finance, a specialist with a track record in raising grant finance will work with you.

Thereafter, if you are looking to raise equity funding and your mentor perceives you to be investment ready, you may be offered the opportunity to attend a practice pitch day, during which you will benefit from a one to one session with a specialist pitching mentor and a dry-run pitch to 'friendly' investors before you do it for a real a week or two later.
