Testing the commercial viability of innovative business ideas
The latest round of Proof of Market grants is now open and applications will be accepted up until Friday 10th September 2010. Interview panels will run from 27 September to 6 October and the project grant must be spent no later then 31 March 2011.
Proof of Market grants enable you to test the commercial potential of an innovative idea for a new technology.
The Proof of Market grant is part of a suite of grants delivered under the Solutions for Business product Grants for Research and Development

Who is it for?
- Entrepreneurs and small and medium size companies (SMEs)
Application Deadline
- The closing date for applications in the current round of Proof of Market is the 10 September.
- Panels are scheduled to take place between 27 September and 6 October.
Application process:
- Proof of Market is currently open for applications,
- An application form must be completed and returned along with any supporting documentation as described in the guidance notes.
- Applicants may be given the opportunity to present their concept to a panel of technical and business assessment experts as part of the appraisal process.
