LandSkills East

LandSkills East is a rural skills programme for the East of England set up to enable farmers and associated rural businesses to upgrade their skills and knowledge. Over the next three years £4.5 million investment from Defra and the European Union will enable businesses across the agri-food sector to benefit from grants for training.

Business owners, their managers and staff will develop the skills required to excel in their chosen fields, and a broad range of organisations will deliver a demand-led programme of courses and events.

Eligible industries:

• Agricultural livestock
• Arable and non food crops
• Food and ornamental crop horticulture
• Forestry
• Food diversification and supply chain
• Rural crafts eg timber framing, thatching, stone and brickwork restoration
